The 1 Month Update - We're Growing!
« on: September 17, 2012, 10:22:33 am »
Hello everyone!

Yesterday (September 16th) marked the one month anniversary of Simopsis moving here to simopsis.smfnew.com. And oh, boy! What a month it has been.

Needless to say, this was the most active 1-month period the site has ever experienced. We racked up 329 posts and 10 members. In one month here at the new site we blasted past the size of "Old Simopsis" by a long shot. The old site, which garnered 266 posts and 10 members, did so in the period of late-April to August. I'm very appreciative to all of you who have been posting and recruiting. Without your efforts we wouldn't be sitting here like this today. :)

So, now that the first month is over - what will keep the momentum (hopefully) going? I am hoping for continued activity from out creator's (SBT, FC Productions and H09 Productions) will drive activity. I am also hoping to jump start some more "Show Us Your...." SC4 threads and increase discussion on The Sims 3 slowly but surely.

I also hope to finally get the tutorial centre off the ground. It has been quiet since the site opened - so if you have any tutorials relating to TS3, CXL or SC4 please post them! It would be awesome to start building a knowledge base here.

My goals may be a bit ambitious, but by this time next month (so October 16th-17th) I am hoping to increase to 13 members and 600 posts. I think we can make that, given that we posted 329 times in one month. It isn't the end of the world if we don't meet them (i.e. I'm not closing because we don't reach those goals... we're here to stay for the long-run!) but those are merely my ambitions.

And with that, I am done talking/typing... whatever. :P I once again want to thank all of you for your continued posting and activity and everything you do for this site. We may be small, but hopefully we will continue to grow and attract new members. Who knows where we will go... :)

Thanks again,
